| There are some pretty big differences between CF18 and US F18. No idea what they are but I remember reading that Canadian ground crews had to bring all their own parts and tools, the US aircraft they were based didn't have all the same parts. Probably the avionics and command and control systems, maybe even the module combat systems. I know the Canadian forces really emphasizes portable components across all platforms.

| I am positive that I met you in Calgary sometime in the '80s. Just not sure where. Did you ever cover any fencing events while you in Calgary? | |

| That's what I felt, it must have been the Fencing Nationals in, ah 86 or 87, can't remember right now. I finished the year 76 in Canada, one short of a spot on the Olympic team lol. I made it the next year but destroyed my knee during the finals and was unable to join the team. | |
